  • “Customer” means someone who purchases a digital product through the site.
  • “Client” means someone who books professional services (if applicable) through a separate process. A person may be both a customer and a client.

  • “Platform” may include My Account on the Site and LearnDash (or an equivalent learning platform).

2) Educational information (not psychotherapy, not crisis services)

This Site provides content and materials (including courses, downloads, emails, and other resources) for educational and informational purposes only. They are not psychotherapy, are not medical or mental health advice, and are not a substitute for individualized care. Accessing or purchasing digital products does not create a therapist-client relationship.

If you are in crisis or concerned for your safety or someone else’s safety, contact local emergency services or a crisis line in your area.

3) Quebec/Ontario context (store purchases vs. professional services)

This Site may offer:

  • Digital educational products (downloads and self-paced courses), and
  • Information about professional services (if applicable) that allows booking through a separate process.

These Terms apply to your use of the Site and store purchases.

Professional services context: any professional services are governed by separate informed consent, intake, and service policies provided at the time of booking. Details about fees, payment timing, cancellations, and other service terms for professional services are provided separately at the time of booking (and may differ from Digital Product terms). Purchasing digital products does not change the terms that apply to any professional services you may receive.

4) Account registration and security

To purchase or access certain digital products, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for any activity under your account. You may not share your account or login credentials with others.

We may restrict, suspend, or deactivate your account (and related access to Digital Products) if we reasonably believe there has been unauthorized access, fraud, misuse, or a violation of these Terms.

In Canada, only individuals aged 14 years or older may purchase digital products through the site. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may purchase only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information.

5) Digital delivery and access (email + Client portal + LearnDash)

Digital products are delivered electronically and may include:

  • Access links and reminders sent by email.
  • Access through your client portal (website), and/or
  • Course access through LearnDash (video, PDF, text).

You are responsible for ensuring you can receive emails from us (including checking spam/junk folders) and for maintaining compatible internet access and devices.

6) Payments, currency, and taxes

When you purchase a digital product through the site, you agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes displayed at checkout. By submitting payment information, you authorize us (and our third-party payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for the total amount of your purchase, including any applicable taxes.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information and to keep it up to date (including billing address and payment details). If you believe your account or payment method has been used without authorization, please contact us at hello@leathicia.com as soon as possible.

Prices are charged in the currency shown at checkout. If you are purchasing from outside Canada, your bank or card issuer may apply additional charges (such as foreign transaction fees or currency conversion fees). You are responsible for any such fees.

If a payment is declined or cannot be processed, we may suspend access to the Digital Product until payment is successfully completed.

6.a) Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you have a billing concern, please contact hello@leathicia.com so we can help resolve it. If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us, we may delay the resolution and temporarily suspend your access while we investigate the dispute.

We may provide reasonable documentation to the payment processor to respond to disputes (for example, proof of delivery/access logs, timestamps, and correspondence).

6.b) Pricing and billing errors

We try to display accurate pricing and availability. If an error occurs (including a pricing, tax, or billing error), we may cancel or correct the order and will notify you where required. If your payment has already been processed, we will issue an appropriate refund or adjustment.

6.c) Discounts and price changes

Discounts, coupon codes, and promotions cannot be applied retroactively. We do not offer price adjustments or partial refunds if a promotion becomes available after your purchase. We may make exceptions in limited circumstances at our discretion (for example, duplicate purchases or clear technical errors).

7) Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Digital Product Refund Policy (Downloads + Courses). Please review it before purchasing.

8) License and permitted use (personal use only)

When you purchase a digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only, unless we state otherwise in writing (e.g., for couples).

You may not:

  • Share, resell, redistribute, sublicense, or reproduce the materials.
  • Upload materials to public platforms or shared drives.
  • Remove copyright notices, or
  • Use the materials to generate profits or create competing products.

9) Intellectual property

All Site content and Digital Products (including text, videos, worksheets, branding, and graphics) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

9.a) Acceptable use

You may access and use the content for your personal, non-commercial use only.

9.b) Prohibited use

Except where expressly permitted in writing by us, you may not:

  • copy, reproduce, modify, translate, create derivative works from, or publicly display the Content,
  • share, resell, redistribute, sublicense, transfer, or provide the Content (or your account access) to any other person,
  • post or upload the Content (in whole or in part) to any website, social media platform, shared drive, or file-sharing service,
  • use the Content to create, market, or sell competing products or services, or
  • remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

Unauthorized sharing may result in suspension or termination of access.

9.c) Trademarks

The names, logos, and branding used on the Site (including Learning Lab) are our trademarks or trade names (or are used with permission). Nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right to use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

9.d) Violations

If you violate this section, your permission to access and use the Content may be terminated immediately, and you must delete or destroy any unauthorized copies in your possession. We reserve the right to pursue any remedies available under applicable law.

We may restrict access to the Site if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

10) External links

The Site may link to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

11) Disclaimers

We aim to provide high-quality educational content, but we do not guarantee any specific outcomes. Results depend on many factors, including personal circumstances, personal efforts, and consistent practice.

12) No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Site and all Content and Digital Products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Although we work hard, we can’t guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content will be free from technical issues.

13) Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption) arising from or related to your use of the Site or any Digital Products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable Digital Product.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

14) Changes to the Site and Terms

We may update the Site, Digital Products, and these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” will be updated. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15) Governing law

If you live in Canada, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and/or Ontario, Canada (as applicable), without regard to conflict of laws principles.

If you live outside Canada, you agree that Canadian laws may still apply to your purchase and use of the Site, to the extent permitted by law, and you are responsible for complying with local laws that may apply in your jurisdiction.
