Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to appointments booked for individual or couples sessions with Leathicia Turgeon-Dalpé. By booking an appointment on this site, you agree to this Cancellation Policy.

Effective date: July 2026

1. Notice required

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

◎ Notice must be given by email or text message, so the request is received and documented

2. Late cancellation and no-show

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, a $40 fee applies. You'll be invoiced directly, whether or not another appointment is already scheduled. The same fee applies if you miss your appointment without notice.

3. Emergencies and exceptional circumstances

Good-faith clause

I know real emergencies come up: illness, accidents, family crises. If you're unable to attend your session because of a genuine emergency, reach out as soon as you can. In that case, the cancellation fee may be waived at my discretion.

4. If I need to cancel or reschedule

The same logic applies in the other direction. If I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you'll be notified as soon as possible and no fee will apply. We'll find a new time together.

5. How to cancel or reschedule

You can cancel or reschedule through your client portal. If it's less than 24 hours before your appointment, contact me directly by email or text.

6. Repeated cancellations

That happens, and it isn't a problem on its own. If cancellations become frequent, we'll talk about finding a rhythm that works, or adjusting the availability offered.

7. Why this policy

This policy is informed by practices widely recognized in psychotherapy and sexology, including those encouraged by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec (OPSQ). It allows me to offer timely care to all clients and to manage my practice responsibly.

8. Frequently asked questions

How much notice do I need to give to cancel?

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This makes that time slot available to another client who needs it.

Are there fees for late cancellations?

Yes. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, or miss it without notice, a $40 fee applies. You'll be invoiced directly, whether or not another appointment is already scheduled.

What happens if I miss my appointment without notice?

The $40 fee also applies to no-shows. If something urgent happened, reach out as soon as you can and we'll talk it through.

9. Have a question

Have a question about this policy? Write to me directly and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
